A beautiful painting for sure! Abstract appearance of the wave is delightful. Color and texture built by lighting are enjoyable.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

That's really cool,Suzanne! : )
I hardly see it as being 'abstract' as it looks more wonderfully realistic than anything else but I certainly do like it a lot!
'Good Show',my friend!

An interesting initial impact. Excellent choice of subject in thick impasto rendition.
Dynamic textures depicts a rushing wave slapping the shore with all their might!
Visually cool.
The foam that gathers at the top of the crest looks realistic!
Creative concept. Innovative approach. Imaginative presentation.
Best of luck in the contest!

And each wave is like a fingerprint,,never the same, this is nice,,love the lines shown in the wave, the light and dark of the water, the crashing effect as it moves, the only thing to affect its movement would be a beach or rock, the droplets at the top from the overflow,,this is great

Suzanne,
I can hear the suction, hiss & roar of that wild North sea in my ears & feel the salty spray on my face & taste the salt on my lips as I stand watching on the shore in danger of getting soaked & frozen by both the wet & the wind. Created with very skilful Brushwork, paint Brush handle & comb to bring these waves to life in a three dimensional image. with a perfect combination & blending of your colour palate.

I definitely can feel the movement of the waves and it makes me almost hear the sound of it crashing. Great contrast and color.
