Voted for this one av. I'd wondered if it was yours.
I think the colors grabbed me forst. So many lovely shades of green....then, of course, the cats. How perfectly timed catching the two of them so still and intent on looking at something. A beautiful background you added behind them which really lets them stand out so well. Everything is crisp and sharp where it needs to be and the softness of greens behind the foliage just gives it a marvelous feeling.
Perfectly titled too. Just a wonderful piece av....so nicely done all the way around. I like it lot and am happy for you that it did s well in the contest.

The expressions on the kitties are just too cute! Their placement and the leaves around them are lovely. There is so much depth in this image and fine detail in the butterfly, kitties and leaves that is has a very three dimensional appearance. It's a cute scene and the colors harmonize nicely. The background also looks great.

I really like the effects you achieved with your post capture efforts. The pair of cats are portrayed so well. Their pose is classic feline, contemplating the random and erratic movement of the butterfly.
For me, the butterfly isn't quite right. The position of the cats gaze makes It seem as though the cats are looking at something else above and beyond the insect.
That, and how the butterfly looks like an after thought addition.
To me it takes a little away from the overall effect, but not enough to trash it and start over.

What a beautiful mixed media image of these two enjoying the lovely backlit flutter flitting by. I love all the rich variation of lighting throughout as well as your selective focus and strengths of composition. Nice soft blends, striking color palette and such beautiful feline eyes.
