Amazing. I never would have guessed those were icebergs. If the title hadn't told me it was the ocean I would have said those little white dots were stars above clouds. Excellent photo.

This photograph intrigues me. After reading about the photo it makes me want to get a closer up shot. I really like the deep blue color of the ocean contrasting the ice and icebergs. Great photograph.

A really interesting and brilliant taken photograph particularly from a plane as if it was a passenger plane there's always something making it hard to get a clear or decent photo out of one, in my experience anyway!! lovely contrast of light and dark blue, this could be a photo of the surface of another planet or even a close up of a rock, so it's thought provoking, and the shapes in the clouds and clarity is brilliant. Excellent photo.

Wow Fred, this is one of those images, you absolutely HAVE to read the notes from the artist.
Icebergs! Wow!

Do you know what I noticed when I first looked at it?

Look lower right corner. I see a mermaid!! She is swimming into the frame.

Love this fred!!

This is a fascinating view. I think the colors are also nice. The tiny dots or huge ice bergs look like bubbles surrounding ice from this perspective. Lovely image!

nice capture of the foam on the water, but the photo is very dark and there is no center of interest on it and this is why I gave you a low rate

thanks for sharing

    no foam: ice
it is for an abstract contest: abstract cannot have a center of interest

Love photos like this. An unusual view of an amazing geography. The blue is great. With another lens, i can see masses of snow and the twinkling lights of civilization. I guess that's an abstract for you!

no civilization in the middle of the ocean; maybe fishing boats....

I find this mesmerizing to look at and imagine. And thanks for the artist notes...as it could be a small patch of ocean instead of the huge expanse you have successfully captured. The colors are so exemplary of cold...perfect!

makes you think. God is truly an artist to be reckoned with as you realize the layers, onion-skins of the world. Up close, iceburgs in a huge ocean with all the colors, shades, images, meanings to be derived by an artistic eye. The further away you get they all become a different and more unique image for interpretation. 2 colors here and if I hadn't read about the picture, I'd have thought I was seeing a painting of mermaids. On the other hand, that looks like a monster about to devour its prey...ahh, the human mind. Your choice of photo location took skill .
