Bit of a narrow escape then judging from your notes? Your composition is fine. The image is sharp and well exposed and does have some sense of natural drama. Well done!

Well look at you sg...from the depths of the oceans to the savannas of Botswana...it is fun 'traveling' with you.

I agree that the second lioness looks none too happy w/ seeing you guys...lol...that's a mean look on her face. So nice to see these guys in their natural setting and not in a zoo or compound somewhere. Your panoramic presentation is well done...from foreground grasses on through the lake to trees in the distant. Lovely natural color. Well exposed w/ very good focus. Nicely put together piece here sg. Where are we going next?? lol

It must be truly great to witness something like this while you are safely on board a boat. Seems like they could not be bothered with the boat at all, apart from one lioness looking in that direction.

Your photo is sharp with clear and well defined details all over, and the exposure is perfect. I also like the nice and natural colors.

The format you have cropped the photo into works really well, and the animals are well placed within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo Fred, and with a very good DOF.

not safe at all: they could jump very easily in the boat!

I really like the setting. The water and reeds are outstanding and the lions are well located in the foreground. The colors are great and the composition is outstanding.

Nice color throughout...showing not only your subjects nicely but the overall landscape and the climate of the regions. The blues are beautifully placed across your frame and the textures of the grass are just enough...not overly busy with interfering trees or larger plants. Nice capture.

I feel a moment of fear from the boat. This is a great capture of the lionesses in the swamps with that typical cat moment where middle female hates water on paws.Good focus ,good scenario and scenery of lions on the move.

I love the crisp feel of the air and the cool water supporting islets of grass and reeds. The light on the water is captured so beautifully considering the grey sky that offsets it. The lion does give you even a sense of tension as they navigate the watery grass.

Fred,
A beautiful picture of this trio of Lionesses crossing the river that cross looking one watching you closely. The morning sunshine adding a golden glow to their dust coloured fur & the blue sky reflected onto the river with trees & reeds along the banks framing the picture. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
