You know of course before reading and looking at the larger image.... I thought this was candy in little papers. LOL Your camera skill gave you perfection in color and lighting. Fabulous focus as well. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing!

Well all their eyes did not help keep this batch from ending up on the dinner table sg.....lol

Your notes, as always, are impeccable here....and quite interesting! Nice focus and color. Exposure spot on. Not a big sea food fan so don't find these guys particularly delectable looking by have enjoyed reading your notes and studying the image sg. Oh and love the title....very tricky! lol

I cannot ever recall eating any of these before! What do they taste of? Your image is very well composed, sharp and has good exposure. Well done!

supergold - If I were not an
aficionado of this marine delicacy, I might find this take to be a little tough to take.

The camera management of this shot is great. The arrangement of the molluscs creates its own eye appeal.

DOF, composition and framing all work in harmony to project a most pleasing arrangement.

A very well orchestrated take, "Heres looking at you kid." ... B-)) Bob

I like this unusual photograph! The composition is nice -- with the repeating patterns --- giving the viewer rounded edges.... get vertical radial lines. The pops of orange color really do a lot to punctuate this work. Nice one!

A lovely, colourful array of healthy fresh looking scallops that I thought at first from the title meant actual eyes (like sheep eyes or something!!) but in fact it turned out to be a little known interesting fact. It's a sign nature can be a little unfair sometimes, there are some creatures that could really benefit from a pair of eyes in this world but instead mother nature has given them to these things instead!! haha wonderful colours and contrast between them, angle is superb catching the imperfect rows of them displayed with great clarity, nice work!!

Fred,
A beautiful picture of all those Fresh Scallops their shells opened up on the Fishmonger's Slab to tempt potential buyers but not me! You information regarding their eyes is very interesting & something I've just learnt for the first time... Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
