Good photo here of some type of yellow swallowtail butterfly... nicely positioned and centered in the frame. Great overall clarity shows off the detail in the butterfly's markings and its tattered wings. I would have experimented a bit more with sharpening or brightening the image. But still a good shot!

nice capture. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the butterfly on the flower is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

A very nice clear shot of this Eastern Tiger Swallowtail that has seen better days. I like the teasel flower he is on but might consider cropping off that suff on the right. Good luck in the contest.

This is different from the usual black & orange Monarch I usually see & we don't have this species here in the Phils.
An impressive capture.
Fine wing design & features with smooth fragile textures.
You can still crop 50% of the L marginal negative space & 25% of the R to delete those partially captured florets & stalk.
Hazy verdant foliage lends a visually soothing backdrop.
Great color contrast.
Sharply focused. Well lit.

Pretty good fast shot posted here! Your image is well exposed and sharp. I do feel though that some attention needs to paid to the composition. It is my belief that it could be improved by cropping out the plant bits on the right hand side. Otherwise nicely taken!
