What a peaceful scene! Bird sharply delineated and nicely placed within the frame. Maybe just a tad more contrast to make the birdie pop but otherwise and very nice image.

This is a cute view of the goose! I like how the brown wing feathers surround the white in a symmetrical way. They frame his bum nicely :) it's a good view of the eye and you captured the motion of the water well.

lise,
A beautiful picture of the Canada Goose swimming away from you it's head turning to get a better look at you. It's reflection seen on the mirror still water of the pond on which the trees on the far bank are also reflected. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Nice shot of the back of this goose. The color and detail is great. I like how you captured the rippling effect of the water. I would of cropped a tad more on the right side. Thanks for sharing.

Nice capture from the rear. I lived near Palm Springs, CA, on a golf course with several ponds. Canadian geese came every year and I would watch them from my patio. I like the distinctive white patch on their face. This one looks so serene. Nice lighting, framing and focus.

This is nicely composed rear end shot of a Canadian Goose.

DOF is excellent. Like the reflection of the bird in the water. Some might say the reflection is ruined because of the ripples. Nonsense, this is a large water bird and there are supposed to be ripples no matter what.

The framing of this composition is well done with the bird occupying center stage.

The beak and eye with the catch light are of excellent detail.

The tips of the wing feathers are well displayed and distinct.

I wonder though if your post capture adjustments, referring to brightness may have pushed over the top - the whites of the cheek and behind are blown out. Not a deal breaker by itself but does take a little away from the overall appeal of the shot.

All in all a very good bird take ... B-)) Bob

Haha cute butt shot! Very good overall clarity and centering of your "subject" in the frame. I would have maybe waited until the goose turned just a smidge more, or at least looked your way to get a cute expression.

unfortunately that shot was a little blurry as my dog was pulling on my camera arm,,lol,,thanks

This is a very tranquil photo, and the natural symmetry all over the place provides an artistic feel to the photo with the reflections in the water. Looks like the goose is staring off into the distance, contemplating its thoughts.

good focus and good capture oft he light on the water, but the fact that I mainly see it's back takes from the initial impact and score

thanks for sharing

A very nice shot with a fine reflection. I think of this perspective as the "rear profile" and it is one of my favorites. I like the square presentation and wish you the best of luck in the contest.
