We call it Red Calachuchi...!
Excellent choice of subject with a great vantage point capturing the aesthetically illuminated blooms & buds against an earth tone backdrop and the visually soothing blue sky in contrast.

Sharply focused with fine details & soft velvety petal textures.

Nice perspective & narrow DOF.

Thanks for sharing...

Thank you very much for your review and the information. I have never heard this name before, but will add it to my list.

I only wear coconut oil as a scent due to allergies of all flowers and perfumes. I need to check this baby out if it truly smells like coconut and peaches.
I love your POV/low angle view showing a bit of blue sky.
Fine focus, exposure and great use of natural light.
Nice work Cleo Girl!! ;)

This is really stunning and I never did see anything resembling this kind of flower before. You really got the tip so beautifully and it expresses hope looking up at the sun. Wonderful entry. Best of luck.

Thank you very much for your kind review.
Those Trees grow only in tropical and subtropical areas. Botanical Gardens which have tropical houses might display them also.

Oh this is really lovely YOU...lol...and such good notes....aa wonderful entrant for this contest.

Wonderful focus on your pair of blossoms and I love how you have let them have the entire frame w/ no distractions....very nice. The color is lovely and natural and even the stems are perfectly detailed. You've given your piece a marvelous name too btw.

I just noticed that this contest is blind so went back and took out your name....I've gone to your page to see this but don't want to screw things up by giving you away. Oh and I am sitting here trying to imagine the aroma...you described it beautifully. Nicely done all the way around. Camera techs spot on here and I wish you well w/ this one in the contest.

Pretty shot here. Your focus is absolutely excellent with the subject nice and sharp and nice blur to the background. Your color is vibrant but natural. Your exposure is excellent. The soft light on the petals is beautiful and brings out intricate detail. My only suggestion would be, if you were to shoot this again,is to sheet from with a higher or lower body position to eliminate the horizon going right through that upper blossom. This was drilled into me in photography school, to avoid the horizon line going through the subject if at all possible. But still a lovely photo.

Thank you very much for your through review and your suggestion. It will be impossible to shot this from another body position. I had the camera already as high over my head as possible. The tree is about 35 ft high. It blooms on its top The background is unapproachable mangrove jungle, with trees higher than the plumeria.

I've never seen this red variety. It is a gorgeous flower and well presented in this square format. I like the perspective and the outstanding colors. Best of luck in the contest.

    Thank you very much!
This variety blooms only locally in some Central American locations.
