You do such a nice job making fabrics look so realistic. Your shading creates rich depth and you are very skilled at using your colors to produce light. I think the colors are blended attractively too.

Beautiful and very lovely. Wonderful lines in the dancer and her clothing. The darkened background makes the figure stand out. Your facial features are very neutral and dramatic. Very well done. Thank you for sharing

Wow! This is a stunning painting of the Midnight ballerina! I like the way she is pointing her toes and is touching her face with her hand. So beautiful are your brush strokes and your use of light and shadows. So realistic is this beautiful ballerina and well defined are the details and your texture and brush strokes add a richness to the painting. Impressive creative and realistic art work. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing!

6 stars? Of course. The way she is sitting with her dress spread out. The floor as well as the background fits the subject. The kicker is the spot light on the left. Perfect.

Excellent painting Jesuel of your midnight Ballerina . Love how you painted her dress costume and your wonderful interpretation of her muscularity. Enjoy her flesh tones against dark grayish greens of textured wall and lighter floor in same color range. Marvelous entry to the contest and wish you best of luck. Thank You for sharing.

So you took a break from your cathedral pieces James?? But then I've always adored your dancing women anyway.

Your shading work is absolutely gorgeous. The way you've used shadows and shading to elucidate her face....upper body and arm is especially spot on! Actually, even the shadows/shading of the folds of her gown are so lovely. I also like the way you have presented her against the black background...and also how you have her gazing off into the distance. Her pose is so elegant.

You do amazing work drawing the human form James....every detail so precise. Your dancer here is beautiful. I hope she does well for you in the art competition you mention.

Thank you so very very much I am going to post a more lighted version so that she doesn't look so dark I have to tighten up a few areas once again thank you so very much

Just had another look James b/c I can see this is a lighter version. I agree....the additional light in the background makes her even more lovely!

Very nice art! Can I make one suggestion--that you lighten it up just a bit? But then again the shadowing does give it a mysterious look that is neat.

hey bro isnt this captured in kinda of a dim light or is it me?? now the creation is awesome as always but seems so dim. the body form and language is excellent. the facial expression is excellent. the details is great from what i can tell. the blend of color is good. the shading is great. the creation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. just dim to me but still a great creation.

This is an excellent representation, especially for its characterization and well-executed, skillful media technique. Although it may be the way in which you photographed the image, it appears somewhat dark. Otherwise, well done and thank you for sharing.

James, I can't even imagine how much work goes into a beautiful piece like this.

Oils are some of the hardest art forms I think out there.

You have really captured a wonderful vision here.

I applaud your artistic sense and presentation.
