Beautiful bird and excellent framing. That yellow is a hard color to capture without over saturation...you have done a successful job. Even backing off of it a bit to show detail would spoil the true color of that yellow. I love the shrub green textures..in contrast. And the dof browns are perfection. The color scheme of this entire composition is lovely....couldn't be better if planned by an artist.
As for your artist notes...very educated! I love them. I can just hear that bird with it's repeated verse over and over...it's musical strophe. The opposite of strophic form is through composed...are you a musician? I'm not sure I can think of a bird that uses a new song for every stanza. Can you? Excellent post in every way. Loved it!

Thank you very much for your very kind comment :)
I'm not much of a musician - I have dabbled here and there with a few string instruments and drums, but just for fun.
The only bird I can think of off the top of my head is the Lyrebird - because they imitate more than 20 different bird species in one song and other sounds like camera shutters, camera motor drives, car alarms, chainsaws and any noises they have heard! The male utilizes the sounds into his mating songs - pretty cool.

Way cool! I have heard of the Lyrebird...aptly named! And you are most welcome! Always deserved!

Thank you! They get to be between 4 to 7 inches with a wingspan from 6.5 to 8.5 inches. Just big enough to carry those songs!
:)

Really fine shot of a bird I have not seen yet this year. Sharp focus, background suits it well as does the lighting. nice work and thanks for sharing. Was out today for around 5 hours and never did see any warblers.

Thank you very much! I hope you see one soon. I would like to see a pose that shows off the pattern on the chest more :)

I am looking forward to the warbler migration which should occur along both the north and south sores of Lake Erie in a couple weeks. This yellow is nicely posed and shown in beautiful colors.
