A really fine entry for this contest and a beautiful tulip macro. The cropping is working very well and the tulips is placement nicely to showcase the inside petals and stamen. Your focus is sharp and clear with good lighting and well defined details. Your many shades of orange and yellow so beautiful. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing!

Interesting indeed.....I say that because in the LIGHT IT UP photo contest I was going to enter the exact same photo someone WON with because I had the same Himalayan Salt Rock lamp within a wire basket like she did. But after her entry, I could not. I felt it would be wrong...But now, it would have been interesting to see both of them submitted and see what the outcome would have been. AND guess what....I have a macro photo of the exact same colored tulip.....what to do....enter mine too or try to find something else.....Sometimes I do not even attempt to look at the other entries, I just submit what I have and let the chips fall where they may. This is an excellent tight cropped macro of a beautiful colored tulip.....Wishing you the best at the voting booth or with the contest committee....It just escapes me which one it is for this particular contest. Nevertheless....EXCELLENT photo.....just like mine (heehee)!!!!

beautiful image with the most vibrant colour love it the detail and rolls and folds to create such a flower brillant shot too otherwise we wouldnt get to admire the details we pass every day

This is a really good shot. Makes me wonder what surprises are inside the tulip. Is there a bee in there ready to sting and attack? Or maybe a surprise fairy waiting to grant our wish.

I have always liked the inner of tulips and have very often tried to capture this lovely part of a tulip. It is almost like the secret place of a tulip which you can't see until it decides to open its petals.
Your focus is spot on and sharp, and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in the pistil. I also think the exposure is very good.
The tight cropping and the format works so well and the tulip has got a very good placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you. I really like the original with more of the entire flower showing but I cropped it close just for this contest.

you can be a floral dentist and tell the flower to say "ahhhhh". lol. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the up close of the flower is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall
