Bumble Bees LOVE the ECHINOPS Flower

What a diversified garden you must have! This looks like a grape flavored popcorn ball. LOL If that was the case, no wonder the bees are attracted to it with all that sugar. The second flower seems to have not fully opened yet. The red and gold flowers fill in the background nicely.

    lol...diversity...yup Gail. "Come one, come all" is my motto. Now you have to be tough enough to over-winter well in my gardens but I'll give almost anything a try....at least once anyway. Do really appreciate you having a look at these guys and thanks so much for the wonderful review you've given them too.

Great initial impact and framing. Colors are rich and very appealing. Focus and depth of field are very good, especially considering all of the movement going on.

    It's really interesting catmal- the Bumble Bees only congregate around the flowers that are fully blossomed. They're not at all interested in them until then. It must be something they secrete only when fully formed. If I had stepped back a bit when I took this shot you would have seen that there were hundreds of Bees....lol...really...just hundreds of them... . everywhere. Thank you so much for having a look and especially for sharing one of your gold stars! You're a sweetie!

did you put some sweet juice on this flower to attract so many bumble bees? and not on the other flowers? lol;
a great find and excellent capture;

    It's really interesting sg. The Bumble Bees are only interested in the fully blossomed flowers- as you see here- they are not near the one that is still forming. So the 'sweet juice' must be something it gives off only when fully blossomed....if I could bottle it somehow I'd really have something wouldn't I! lol Forgot to mention that Butterflies are really attracted to this guy too. Anyway, always enjoy seeing you at the end of a review and thank you for checking this big fella out.

What a cool flower; thanks for describing it in such detail. The colors are so bright and the detail on the flower is excellent. I bet it's really something to see in person --all the blossoms and the bees! Thanks for sharing!

    I call it my 'Alien Plant' Lucy.....all these great long arms w/ little silver-blue balls at the end....and then there's all the Bumble Bees....yes, it's a sight for sure. I've spent a lot of time photographing this guy. Do appreciate you checking it out and thank you for the wonderful review you've given it....oh and glad you enjoyed the included notes!

Another really cool flower that I have to research. I like how big they get and the colors are so pretty. I like how you found this one with so many bees! The background blur and colors are nice too. The flowers look nice grouped together too.

    This one is very easy to grow Grace. Takes a couple of years to establish itself and then BOOM....it just takes off...lol Thank you so much for checking this guy out. I am always happy to see a review from you and REALLY pleased I've tempted you to research another flower new to you.

Wow, you've got all kinds of color going on! Terrific! The purple is nice and bold and jumps out. I like the red and yellow. The green seems to connect the two. Didn't know bees liked those type of plants. Very cheery overall. Hope the bees get what they're after. Take care.
