'Flower or Weed'? Hmm!
I'd say that ,either way, this Dandelion in the grass makes for a very enjoyable picture,Mary Eileen! : )
It's pleasingly colorful and it's lots of fun to view!
'Good Show',my friend!

I like how you got to ground level to get the shot nice little blur in the background with the flower and the front blades of grass is in good focus ..

Both... and it has it's own beauty and purpose. I read just this week that we shouldn't pull the dandelion flowers in bloom as they are very important to bees which are becoming endangered. Excellent focus, lighting and framing.

Quite a philosophical question posed here! I do not intend to tackle this question in this review! I will quite happily say that this is a very good shot! It's nicely composed, sharp and has good exposure. Well done!

Wonderful capture of this Dandelion... I say flower! Well at least until they go to seed then it's another matter. :-)) Great natural color and fabulous lighting. Great detail as well. Thanks for sharing!

A vibrant capture of a sweet & gentle flower growing wild...

Warm illumination in a seemingly filtered lighting.

Ideal tall format framing with an eye level vantage point and a narrow DOF.

Thanks for sharing...

I suppose a gardener would say this is a weed, but a child would for sure call it a flower, pick it, and then give it to its mum. I can understand the child because a dandelion is actually a lovely bloom, and you have pictured this one so well.

Your photo of it is nice and sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the flower. I also think the exposure is perfect.

The cropping works well, and the flower has got a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a lovely and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.

Nice that I have company in the apprehension of weeds.
You captured this one nicely. Your photo shows well that weeds are as pretty as garden flowers. Your details and colors are crisp and natural. The green grass is a nice background for the yellow blossom. The tall formatting emphasizes the straight grow of the plant.

Personally I don't believe there is any such thing as a weed. The term is derogatorily applied to any blossom thought to be undesirable to the horticulturist. Just my 2 cents.

Fresh springtime dandies are an under appreciated bloom, only taken seriously when the have gone to seed.

Your camera settings are spot on sharp and project a pleasing profile of this yellow wonder.

The color range and lighting of the take are well balanced and contribute nicely to the overall eye appeal of your composition.

DOF is excellent for the subject matter. All of the flower from top to bottom is in razor sharp focus with just enough of the background in sharp focused and diminishing focus beyond that.

A nicely complimentary take of the lowly dandi ... B-)) Bob
