we are too few on this site to post notes: always interesting;
what kind of animal left thiese tracks?
a beautiful winter scene on a sunny day;
I didn't yet see a snow flake this year; the only snow I've seen this year was from 10000 feet elevation....

That trail is used by deer all the time sg....but I've also seen coyote tracks....moose and a couple I could never figure out. There are 'fisher cats', 'wolves' and even Mountain Lion (or Puma as they're called around here).... It is a very well used trail....and then, of course, there's me and my dog...lol Always happy to see a review from you sg and thank you as well for your comment re: notes. I could not agree more!!

Good shot to keep handy as we go into the hot season. Beautiful, clear colors, sharp focus - the kind of day you can just imagine enjoying a walk. Thanks for sharing.

Depends on where you go. We went to the West Coast and Crater Lake and found about 20 more feet of it. It was amazing. I like the depth of this image. The purity of the white snow it's just a reminder. Thank you for sharing.

Well hello there stranger! What a nice surprise to see YOU at the end of a review. ...and I know I should be careful about celebrating...it HAS snowed in May before!!! Anyway, thank you so much Paul for having a look at this guy....I'll have to have a look at your page and see if you've added anything from your trip out west.

Deborah,
A beautiful picture of the animal tract running up through the trees & lit up by the sunshine filtering down through the canopy the sky seen behind the trees at the end of the path leaving a mystery as to what lies beyond.
Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

lol...yup...did the happy dance...but...and it's a big BUT....no snow does not necessarily mean no fire. Made one last night...will tonight too. Usually a bit into May anyway. Thank you so much for having a look at this one. My house is up top here...just off to the right. Always happy to have you review one of my pieces Sange!

A cyber six for this one....your artist notes are always the best. Not many on here realize what those notes add to viewing a photo...whether they be the one posting or the one reading. One should never miss your notes...or your photos! A delightful journey into your neck of the woods! Yay for the diminishing snow! May could still surprise you up there...yes? Sorry....I should delete that last sentence! :D Love this!

OMG Becky....bite your tongue!!! ahahaha...yes, May has occasionally been a real surprise when it snowed...on TOP of the flowers already coming up....gotta be tough to survive that! You are always so generous in your comments re: my notes. Thank you for that...seriously. I always think of them as important as the photo I am posting....they support each other, yes?? And you know how much I love where I live so bringing someone along on the 'journey' is exactly what I try to do. Thank you so much for another wonderful review Becky!! Always look forward to what you have to say about my posts.

Hooray! Good artists notes and good storytelling! This is a wonderful landscape photography shot of this winter scene. Your focus is nice and sharp with good lighting and we'll defined details. Your framing is good and your photo is well composed. I look so forward to your Spring photography but will also look forward to the return of more winter pics next year. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing!

I like how you see the trees as marching up the hill with you, because some of them have shapes that look exactly that way! Nice color control. The sunlight highlighting the bark is attractive and the blue sky as the vanishing point beyond the trail is very nice. You did have lots of snow this winter!
