Well, well.... 23 together - you have offered up some stitching perfection. :-)) Can't see one spot that would offer that story up. Great lighting with wonderful color over the frame - the scene is nicely natural. Great detail as well. I challenge you to 28... lol :-)) Thanks for sharing!

You indeed cot it all in by stitching 23 photographs together like this, and it is giving the viewer such a good idea about how this landscape looks with the town in the background. It is however a pity that such big part of the photo is covered by the FAR logo.

The photo is however nice and sharp and it also has well defined details in spite of the distance. I also think the exposure is fine.

For a panorama I also think the composition is working with big trees on each side. This is giving it a very good balance. A truly lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you very much Annie for your kind review and comments - very much appreciated. I am at a loss as to why the FAR logo has appeared on this photo and no other. I have to admit that I do not know how to remove it. I can only think that I may have caught some button whilst posting it. From my point of view I think it spoils the image. Mike

You must have forgotten to hook out NO. It is a pity, because as far as I know it is impossible to remove the logo once it is there. Still you are more than welcome for the review.

Sir, you are the king! I am astounded that this was done so well hand held for 23 takes. The usual marks of a hand held pano, the concavity and stitching seams, are absent. Before I read the notes I was wondering about hand held vs a rail. The reason was I took notice was that horizon dips to the right.

Camera settings are very well programmed.

The framing of this composition is very well planned.

DOF is good for the foreground but drops off with some loss of detail in the clouds, maybe stopping down a couple would bring that up.

Of the panoramas I have reviewed thus far this is one of the best ... B-)) Bob

A very nice panoramic scene to be sure. The countryside looks so peaceful and tranquil. You did an excellent job of creating this scene which anyone would be proud to display in their home. I wish the FAR watermark was not on the larger photo as it covers this beautiful scene. Very well done ~ Steve

Mike,
A beautiful panoramic shot of the English countryside just a pity the FAR watermark hides some of the details. The white clouds flying across the sky add rather that detract from the scene & are so often typical of skies over out two islands. Beautiful Constable like composition taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

nice angle of shot and use of panoramic format, but the sky is too bright and the cut off tree on the right also takes from the initial impact

good luck with the contest and thanks for sharing

It is a shame they had to plaster their logo across this very nice shot. I like the panoramic presentation and the fine details. The colors are good and I wish you the best of luck in the contest.

What an incredibly steady hand you must have had! Very ambitious of you, and it paid off. The bucolic landscape looks almost like a painting, with a slight softness to the distant focus.

A lovely slim but slick landscape pic, of this serene countryside scene (I knew I should have been a rapper! lol). Great clarity and long DOF, and the colours stand out nicely against the white sky. I bet you wished the copyright wasn't quite as big though! lovely shot.
