A great shot from the air. The area is so forbidding and desolate. I noted the shapes in the snow. I am sure many noted the 1 2 0 0 shapes in the center of the scene. Not sure how many noticed the "5" in the lower left corner. A great entry for the contest ~ Steve

So interesting. I guess you'd call it a mesa. I love the texture of it. It looks like a brownie covered in thick fudge icing that's been smoothed with a knife. The river snaking through it adds interest. Great job.

This is an interesting capture, most particularly for its dynamic geometry. Indeed, nature herself is an accomplished artist and you are among those with the keen eye to capture her wonder. Very well done and thank you for sharing.

So much white! Thanks for sharing this unusual view. It looks like partially melted ice cream. Crisp details - you can see the striations in the cliffs. Almost abstract unless you know what it really is!

Well done! This icy scene does look very abstract with the deep shadows and patterns within the snow. Your focus, framing, and lighting are all very good. Thanks for sharing ;)

I think the real challenge for this shot is White Balance control which you seem to have dealt with very well.
The color range and lighting of the take are well balanced and contribute nicely to the overall eye appeal of your composition.
DOF is excellent for the subject matter. There is strong detail across the entire image.
Thanks for sharing ... B-)) Bob

An amazing shot of these fields of snow/ice, the naturally rippled and untouched effect makes it look like when you've freshly opened a new tub of ice cream! superb clarity and timing, good DOF and overall a wonderful landscape shot of this barren icy land.

I don't believe I have ever saved a shot taken through an airplane window but I try again at every opportunity. A very nice landscape which is complimented by the covering of snow. Very nice colors and great details. Good luck in the contest.
