This is a beautiful image! You have presented these lovely flowers in a very attractive way. Your tight, close up framing is great. The clarity and lighting retains their delicate nature, color and textures perfectly. Your dof is also very nice and the background is pretty too. You have done these little guys justice :)

You have Lilies then cm?? Yes, they are the prettiest flowers.....most of mine will be a month or more before I see them. These little guys in my post are sort of an odd-ball variety but I'll do anything to have a few flowers early in the season. Thanks so much for checking them out and giving them such a wonderful review. Do appreciate it.

Such beautiful delicate little flowers. I like how the flowers hang down along with the shape of the petals. Beautiful capture of the Fritillaria's love it's unusual color. Your focus is sharp and on every part of these flowers, good lighting, and wonderful details. Your beautiful artistic blurred background compliments these flowers and makes for outstanding photography. Worthy of a six star! Thanks for sharing!

They ARE the most unusual colored flower in my gardens Mary Lynn....they are even a little more brown than they look in this image. Think I may plant more of them next season. Thank you so much for checking them out and for the wonderful review you've given my latest post. Do really appreciate it.

Thanks so much Mallory. I rarely do bunches of flowers together but these little guys just demanded to be photographed as one....lol Do appreciate you checking them out.

I love close up flower photos and this is a beauty. The colors are perfect, to many times people try to add too much vibrance and saturation to their photos and they start looking fake. Great depth of field, I like that background isn't completely blurred so that it gives the impression of a garden. Great photo!

lol...no 'impression' OG. It IS part of my gardens....although nothing but VERY early spring flowers blooming yet and even those guys got snowed on this morning! Do appreciate you checking out my new piece and I completely agree w/ you.....flowers are often over-worked....I prefer to let them speak for themselves. Thank you so much for the lovely review.

THE most unusual colored flower in my gardens Mama-M. Wait until you see my 'Big Guy' FRITILLARIA....lol....he is amazing. Should blossom soon....I hope anyway. Had snow showers here this morning so I'm sure all my flowers are a tad ticked off. Always enjoy seeing you at the end of a review so thank you very much for giving these little guys such a lovely one.

What I enjoy is all the detail that you give in your flower images. I feel like a biology student. Wait...those are NOT good memories. Hated biology. Loved chemistry and physics. We could blow things up there....lol.

Anyway. I'm on a ramble. The colors in your image are fantastic. The DOF is well played. Thanks for sharing.

lol...yes Paul...blowing things definitely has a certain appeal, doesn't it! Thank you so much for your comments re: my notes (I worry they're too much sometimes).... so really do appreciate that you enjoy them. DoF would look a tad different today. Snow showers here this morning...OMG....I may just go back to bed and wait for the REAL spring to arrive! My early spring flowers must be as freaked as I am this morning.

Deborah,
A beautiful picture of these close to the ground & very beautiful Fritillaria michailovskyi with their nodding bell shaped flowers with red wine & gold edged petals standing proud on their short green stems with their dagger shaped leaves. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
My favorite Fritillaria is the plum coloured Snake's Head.
