So this is YOUR piece! Not sure if this contest is over yet so won't use your name and glad to see the bigger version of this. It's much easier to see what's going on.

What a lovely mural and just a shame the artist or artists who did it did not identify themselves anywhere. Nice crisp focus here....the detail is amazing. In fact, if you hadn't mentioned in your notes that those people near it were actually part of it I might have thought they were bystanders in your photo.

Nice color....well exposed and love the title you've given it too. It's things like this that make me miss (miss ONLY occasionally that is) living in the city. Wonderful mural...presented perfectly!

Aptly captured for the contest theme...
Excellent choice of subject with an impressively unique compositional style.
Creative concept of incorporating the painted human subjects as if they're superimposing a huge frame over the wildlife painting!

Innovative approach of rendering the whole image in a faux tile texture!

Imaginative presentation is eyeCATching!

Subtle illumination.
Sharply focused.
Ideal framing.

Thanks for sharing...

It is called the Market Square Goodwill Lion mural because it is on the Goodwill building. No artist credits available. A very fine shot with great detail and beautiful colors. Best of luck in the contest.

Thank you very much for your information and your kind review. I appreciate both very much. I have not heard this name so far.
I was told that the mural was created by a group of artists working at the Institute of Texas Cultues [UTSA] building opposite the mural, but this information is as vague as the other half docent names natives of San Antonio use because of the leak of a real title.
