This is a good "action shot" of this bird singing! The sun provides a good amount of lighting and the blue sky is a perfect background for the blackbird and green leaves. I wish the image was a tad sharper, however, and that the angle was different so we could see more of the bird.

for starters ..what a strange latin name this bird has !! its a lovely detailed shot of the blackbird and his surroundings with the light from the sun skimming the leaves just right allowing this subject to be enhanced ..nice structure

Hi Susan

This is a lovely shot of this blackbird mid-song. I wonder what it sounds like. The blue sky background is fantastic too. Thanks for sharing this gem of a photograph! R

I can't believe you've not heard the Blackbird sing, they sing as beautifully in England as they do here in Ireland..the accent may be a little different but the song is as sweet.

Nice artists notes and readable storyline along with a nice Spring memory. Beautiful capture of your European Blackbird sitting high in the tree and beautiful nature shot. Your focus is good, as well as your lighting, along with well defined details. A well taken photo with a good depth of field. Thanks for sharing!

I like the use of the ROT in this photo the color of the leaves help the bird to stand out more. It's too bad that we can't hear the song he was singing for you. I enjoy listening to the birds.

Your photo of this lively Blackbird warbling enthusiastically in the Mulberry branches with the bright early evening/late afternoon sky as the background makes for a pleasantly interesting and nicely cheery picture!
'Good Show',my friend!

I love the way you caught the bird in mid-song! He stands out in middle of the mulberry branches. I might have cropped out a little of the right side, but great picture!
