very serious concept and your image is stark and detailed. It conveys the message in a way that is compelling. Great job and good choice of title...

Make,
A beautifully drawn picture of this poor starving child his eyes pleading for food to fill his stomach, his ribs countable showing how long he has been with out enough food. Created with very skilful draftsmanship, beautiful choice, blending & application of your colours. I did view the video.

Your picture is great and it paints a very grave picture of some of the hard realities in our world. The ribs and concave tummy along with the solemn and almost empty eyes tell a story most people would rather tun their heads to. Very powerful image.

The one thing you can ever expect from is the unexpected. Even both of my cartoon series "strange critters" and "Funnie Flowers"/may have the same characters you just don't know what I'll put them thru that something you may relate to in life. However my portfolio here has over 800 of my sharpie/bic pen work. Only about a Lil over 300 is the cartoons. Now when you go thru someone" s portfolio that even the great artist I'll study the recent post and maybe skim thru right quick admiring the great work but very few viewer will see the whole thing. I have always had an idea to create my work to tell a story with music. I now have 19 illustrated music videos
With a wide range of music and stories as well. Some will make ya laugh. Some will make ya think. Some will even make ya shed a tear. Each video is only 3 to no more than 5 minutes long. You might find one that will make ya get up and dance. You can find all this on YouTube. Com under "MKFlood Presents" and there you can find the entire collection. Now the admission is free but you need to bring your own snacks. Mine taste flat. Wink. Thanks for the awesome review

This is so sad!
I think their stomach sticks out a little if they are starving. You did good on this. Your shading is awesome, as your colors and attention to details.

no that would be malnutrition. when it is sticking in like this it is true starvation. i know..when i was adopted by my great uncle at the age of 7 i looked just like this kid. you can say as i was growing up i was never picky of any food put in front of me cause i do know what it is like to starve. the only time the pain stops hurting is if you go to sleep..so i do know..wink. thanks for the awesome review.

Oh wow... such a sad image. You have offered this fellow up to us in quite a powerful way. Controlled artistic lighting, wonderful natural color as well. Great detail in this fellow which absorbs my sadness. Thanks for sharing, good luck in the contest!

Very different from your usual post. This is a disturbing drawing, but understand the concept you are trying to get across. It makes you stop and think. Good luck in the contest.

lol..no not really..folks just like those lil frisky flowers so they notice those ones. if you do get chance and want to see what an old Sharpie/Bic master (50 years of working with them), can do with these pens, then i would encourage you to stop by Youtube.com and search "MKFlood Presents" and you will see a lot of this kind of work in my music videos (19 so far). some will make ya tap your foot, some will make ya smile, some will make ya think and i know there is 2 on there that will pull a tear from your eye. now the admission is free but you have to bring your own snacks..the flowers keep eating mine! wink..lol. thanks for the great review.

Wow, a stark contrast in subject matter to your usual work, but a brilliantly drawn picture that is well titled, highlighting the reality of life (and death) in many countries. A sad reflection but accurately drawn and presented, with good proportion and a sadly realistic feel to it. Great picture and thought provoking image.

believe it or not the flower cartoons are only about 300 drawings out of my over 800 portfolio. the majority is drawings like this. everything is done with sharpie and bic pens. if you ever get the chance stop by Youtube.com and search "MKFlood Presents" and it will lead you to all of my 19 illustrated music videos. wink. thanks for the great review.

A very poignant work here Mark. This one has no humor but a large dose of reality in many parts of the world, as you know. A great work of art here Red Leg. Keep on keepin' on ~ Steve
