Your details throughout this image are impeccable. The fabrics look so realistic. I also especially like the expression on Kublai's face and the wind blowing his hair. Your attention to the direction of light and how you have applied it to the eagle's feathers is very nice. The multicolored tones of the horse are done well. I appreciate the true realistic details down to the leather mask on the eagle.

I love all your subject matter- and as you will know, I am a 'chinafile'. Adore the place and culture, having been a teacher there from 2002 to 2010.Love this-as a Hungarian /originally mongolians/ I find their history fascinating, and so at odds with the superbly civilised Chinese. It watch with interest, the glorious savage tramples the soft over civilised and then it is reversed - everywhere.

Awesome story to think about a Mongolian warlord that is family oriented and teaching his grandson the way of life in their country. I like the bold colors and the simple background that keeps your attention on the main characters.
