This is an adorable puppy. Her expression seems sad. I get the impression that she is missing someone or something. I like the natural colors and how she is framed by the metal bars. I personally find the capture a bit too soft. Maybe you try some sharpening.

I think Luna is truly sweet with the slightly tilted head, and I especially like the eye contact you had with her when the photo was taken. The background is a bit busy, but still the dog is standing out from it in a good way.

Your photo is also quite sharp, and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the dog, and the exposure is good.

Because of the background I would have cropped a bit more on the left, and just a tad on the right, but it also works the way it is. All together this is a truly sweet and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.
