This is a poignant scene ...with the stooped posture of the grandpa and the obvious curiosity of the youngster. It truly touches my heart.
Your camera has captured not only the honesty in the interaction but in the elements of nature. The colors are vibrant but true. The water has the purest hues of aqua marine blues and greens and the whites of the froth. The blue on the pure gray of the sand is probably my favorite part of the myriad of natural colors.
Your light and shadows are also natural. The fact that your sunlight is on the back of the grandfather and his shadow is casting across the boy is meaningful to me. Often times a grandchild is a grandparents shadow...as they explore and share the ideas of youth and the knowledge of years.
The framing of the tree in adds to purity of this shot. I suppose if I would change anything I may have cloned out any interference in the bottom of the frame...over to the tree trunk. Only to give the people a bit more of the stage. But this is a framer...a complete pleasure to view! Thank you for sharing.

Wonderful human interaction captured, I looks like a Norman Rockwell painting to me, the foreground is perfect, the subjects have just the right amount of distance and definition, the colors are vivid but not over done.
It's an American portrait captured just right, the only thing I can say is I feel like the subjects should have been a bit more in the center but then that may have taken away from the turning leaves.
