I like the filters used here to give it the look like a view through ones dream. Nice Perspective, fine leading lines from the road and white picket fence and nice use of natural light.
The tree shadows are great.
Nice work Mary Eileen.

Indeed a vintage image with a retro feel!

A serene neighborhood feeder road with everybody seemed to be inside unlike here where almost all housewife with no jobs would chat with the others in the fence across!

Diminishing viewpoint leads us to a dead end(?) of the village.

Vanishing perspectives provides us with good remembrance down memory lane...

Sharply focused with a long depth of field...

I'm sure your friend from Argentina will be thrilled with this lovely shot of the old neighbourhood and I like the effects you used for this. I like all the patterns made by the shadows on the path and the way the path invites the viewer to travel along it. Very good lighting and focus. Excellent composition. Suzanne

I really love your nostalgic look here. Well taken photo with good exposure (not easy with all of that white in bright sun. I love the road leading us into the frame. My only suggestion would be to have something as a focal point that the road led to. I notice this now because one of my photography professors was like a broken record "a leading ;in needs to lead us to something." But I really do love the shot.

Very nice description of why you took this. I really like the shawdows of the bushes falling on the sidewalk. Gives it something extra. Would have rated it higher, however I don't see much as far as homes that would be associated with neighborhood and the nostalgia

Thank you...I hope you took the time to read my artist notes to understand why there are no houses in this shot.

Yes, I did, at that. I am also a former healthcare worker. Yes, I get it, the fences and what was it...back alleys? Sorry, I was basing my review on what I perceived as the " old Neighborhood" and I guess, seeing my own! Not all places that kids grow up in, are like mine.

Pictures of paths leading away have always fascinated me. This one evokes thoughts of idyllic days of childhood, as well as the passing of time. In this picture, time seems to have stood still, because there are no signs of today. The soft colors add to the impression of the past. What a beautiful gift for your friend!

Beautiful work. It looks like something out of the Saturday Evening Post. The colors and contrast are great. The symmetry and composition are perfect. This would look great framed and hanging on a wall! Amazing job.

Thank you. Your high rating is very kind. The back story here is that an exchange student we had from Argentina back in 1964 will be visiting in July. I made this for him to remind him of his year with us as classmates.

An inviting place for children to play where you can go for hours without seeing a car. A fine perspective under very attractive light. I like the shadows on the alleyway like memories of a long past childhood.
