Well you have posted some really unusual animals recently sg. Love the Panda here.
You got both the black and the white just right here. Nicely done. ....and caught him doing what they do best....and most often...lol...eating bamboo. Good focus on this guy as well. Nice soft background too....lets this little guy shine!

I know you don't edit, but if you did, I would lighten the eye.

Pandas have very small black eyes that can be seen only when they look at the camera;
unfortunately when they are eating, the eyes are more than half closed, as I can see on at least the 3 dozens pics I took;
I'll try to brighten one and send to your mail to see what I am meaning;

Well, you were right on the mark this time. The white fur looks like white fur (:)), except where it shows the natural coloration around the jowls. Cute pose, looks like he's playing the bamboo pipe instead of eating it. Sharp focus, good DOF, good composition with him facing into the space on the left.

not a bad balance of the black and white. Your whites are nicely held but makes the eyes very dark. But we can't have everything :)
I have plenty of bamboo in my background i can give you to take to the zoo next time ;)

The challenge of black and white together...you succeeded very well in this photo. It's nice to see a panda doing something besides staring or rolling around (my experience at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.). Excellent photo composition and cropping.

Very nice exposure! The colors look great and I like that you got him eating bamboo. The textures of the fur really stand out well. I might blend in the green in the upper left corner a little more. I think the soft background colors look good.
