You sure that you do not have a Botanical garden in your backyard? All the exquisite flowers you have are extremely rare to me. I have never seen such beauty and colors that make this lovely symphony of yours. Magnificent!

lol....thank you so much Mama-M. I specifically like to choose unusual things to plant at my place. There's a lot of old 'run of the mill' stuff too but the 'odd-balls' just seem to really stand out. Do appreciate you checking this one out. Thank you again.

I like the choice of flower. The colors are well represented in the image. The colorful green background brings even more attention to the colorful flower. Nice job

What a lovely little flower. They remind me of bells as they hang there. Great Boca with wonderful for us on the buds themselves. It is a nice contrast with the pointed leaves and the softness of the buds.

Deborah,
A beautiful picture of this flower head of the Tiarella cordifolia the red floret on the top & the ripening seed heads below with the petals shed but the stamens still clinging to them. Beautiful composition, framing & dark background that helps the flower head to stand out in three dimensions from it. Taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A flower like I have not seen in gardens around here...unless you excellent capture has made is so unique. Amazing.

The name of the flower is very interesting. Thank you for your artist notes explaining that. It is delightful to view your image after reading each sentence. Those salmon colors are beautiful and you have successfully controlled any over saturation of that beautiful color. That was a must to sustain the clarity of those tiny seeds on the ends of those anthers. I love that starburst effect....especially of the lowest one of the stem that is kind of alone so I can see it clearly.

Your burst from the lower right corner is ingenious for this composition and framing. I feel like it is introducing the overall flower by saying, "Voila!"

Your bg is perfection as well...with enough blacks and dark greens to let the detail of that front flower show clearly. diagonal stem is is artfully cropped into this image. A framer!! Thanks for sharing!

Spent the entire day out in the flower beds yesterday Becky....OH BOY!...lol and that's why I'm only getting to this today (raining and dreary today- oh boy...lol ) I so appreciate you being so thorough w/ your review. This one was a little more challenging b/c of all the points ....I really wanted to get them all sharp AND be sure to get those little salmon colored seeds at the end of each anther so thank you sooo much for noticing that. Just a wonderful review w/ a gold star to boot! Thank you Becky. I do sincerely appreciate all of it.

It looks like a 'Spring Symphony' indeed,Deb!
: )
This colorful flower has a calmly exotic vibration going on with it and your fine picture of it ( and your informative and enjoyable notes! ) simply strike me as Outstanding! ( and I really like that little border that you've given the picture too! )
A 'Good Show' ? Yeppers! : D

The first thing that comes to mind when I look at this photo is Christmas....It jumps out at me.....maybe because of the red and green colors.....maybe because the leaves remind me of pine....maybe its the shape of this particular bloom....like a Christmas tree.....but definitely Christmas.

Nevertheless I simply love it. I have been taking shots of my bottle brush too yesterday and the day before....and it is green and red too.
I love the placement you have of this boom coming in from the bottom right going upward and becoming the focal point; the center of attraction. The background with its blurred second bloom and the green and blacks complement this shot nicely. It looks as if I could reach out and grab a hold of it....really nice 3D type and so crisp and clear. The longer I look at this shot, the more mesmerizing it becomes; the more I want to look at it some more.....taking in every detail no matter how minute. I love this shot......excellent photo; superb photography techniques. Thanks for sharing.

Could be the shape Katharina...it's definitely shaped like a Christmas Tree. The color may not be showing exactly right on your screen. It's actually a salmon color....maybe a salmon-peach. It's really lovely. Always enjoy seeing what you think of my photos and/or flowers and pleased you like this one so much. I added it to my mental 'Deb's Favorites' when I took it several days ago. So thank you so much for checking it out and for giving it such a lovely review. I do appreciate it.

Very nice Capture of your Spring Symphony Doc. I like the star spike flowers with soft peach like buds. Focus is sharp with minor softness on the hanging buds.
I like the colors and DOF and the fine square crop.
Nice work Doc :)

lol...they are HUGE catmal....run along both sides of my road from the house all the way down to the Orchard and there's a few around a couple of Apple Trees and a bunch up along the edge of the woods....and a few odd ones here and there. I tried numbering the beds one time w/ those little metal signs so I could keep track of what was where on my computer.....ran outta signs before I ran out of beds. Thank you so much for having a look and for your very kind comments! This one jumped onto my list of favorites too earlier this week when I took it.
