Great capture. Nice clear focus of the subject. The color of the hippo is well done. The green of the water seem to further enhance the hippos color. An interesting thought. If you cropped the face of the hippo, the eyes looking up at you and the green water would make a cool image. Great job

lol...you'd be taking your life in your hands to swim w/ these guys sg! ...despite the fact that you've captured this guy looking so sweet and innocent.
Excellent crisply sharp focus on this fellow....that head, face and those huge feet! Good color...well exposed and an animal we don't typically see here!

Don't think so, not with a brute like that near me! Your fine off-centre composition gives us a good look at him. He looks like a real beast of a thing!! Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done!

Hello Supergold
Well captured. The body has a real feel to it. The texture is excellent and the color of the Hippo is very natural.
I like the composition and the reflection of the green growth in the water. The varied lighting is good on the right side of his head and neck.
He has a pretty face and I would really like to pet him.
Thanks for this one.
