The clarity and colours here are exceptional, the background green is really nice to offset the colour of this duck, he looks like he is having a really hard snooze, love the way you came in on those feathers and face, very nice

This is a fantastic close up shot showing a wonderful alternative angle of this lovely bird. Great clarity captures the colours and textures of the down and feathers brilliantly, and gives an almost abstract edge to the photo - great shot!

Well, well... I love the color and lighting in this shot - so nice exposure. I cannot get beyond the lower left corner though... captures me... hangs onto me. Steals me away from the bird. When you are this close to a subject you need the detail in the body... or is it a rock... or??? :-)) You of course know that so you can't sneak this one by me... 1/2 on the focus. Thanks for sharing... gonna move on now... know you have another shot in here somewhere... :-))

This almost comes off as an abstract image. The duck is all huddled over and the colors runs together very well.

The pale green background is very nice.

I had some trouble trying to figure out witch end was up.

Your camera settings are exceptionally sharp for the frame.

The color range, contrast and lighting of the take are well balanced and contribute nicely to the overall eye appeal of your composition.

DOF is excellent for the subject matter. There is strong detail across the entire image. The solid soft green of the background makes a good initial impact for the viewer.

The framing of this composition is not cluttered and speaks well of the subject matter.

Fred,
A beautiful picture vof this colourful male Wood Duck eye closed as it sleeps with it's beak tucked under it's wing. The sunlight glowing off the iridescence the green feathers on it"s head. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Great shot. The colors and detail as well as the composition of the piece are excellent. The way the lighting makes the green fluorescent in the shot really catches the eye. Wish I could sleep that good.
