this is so true, amazing how each year plants come out again and then slowly die down later in the year. A lovely photo of a plant coming to its own, beautiful soft greens

This is a lovely shot showing to good effect the different aspects of the plant. I don't recognise the species, but am not from your part of the world. You were correct in not making any adjustments, as the freshness of the green leaves with the red core of the flower just starting to emerge, provide sufficient colour balance. Nice one!

I like what the photo represents and how the red color of the bud. I believe a more cropped shot,reducing the stem, will give the bud better attention
