This is gorgeous. The flight is captured beautifully and the detail of the bird, particularity the face - is amazing. The dof is very nice too. I really like the timing with the position of the wings and that the nails on the feet shine with the light. Awesome!

Beautiful photo and entry for this contest. Excellent angle with great clarity, lighting and color. Good DOF and framing. I love the creamy, milky white color against the background green. The pleats in the wings are very pretty and the profile is striking. Well done. Good luck. ~Alveria

Well this is just gorgeous YOU...lol and what a great image for this contest.
Lovely stop action and absolutely beautiful crisp focus. This guy is just so well detailed from tip to toe...seriously...that one wing especially is stunning. Your whites are clean and pure but you've managed little nuances of color in that wing so nicely as well.
Even at the distance his eye is well captured. DoF is good. It's nicely cropped and, as always, well titled. Just a marvelous image that looks carefully considered and definitely well executed. You do such a nice job w/ your bird images. This one got my vote- for sure and impressed me enough that I came and had a closer look too. Best of luck w/ it in the contest.
