It is a nice close up of this bird. I like the full wing span. He has some beautiful coloring. It could be a bit more brighter to see.

I like the stop action of his wings spread open and his bill slightly opened. I always found their eye to look fake or painted on.
It's a really fine capture of a White Pelican Fred.
Nice work ;)

thanks so much Sandra;
I see what you mean: they have a relatively small and dark eye

It is truly lovely to see the wings spread like this, and it even looks like the bird is smiling. The light is falling on the bird in such a lovely way, and with the darkness of the background, the bird is standing out in an excellent way.
Your photo is nice and sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the bird. I also think the exposure is good.
The format you have cropped the photo into works really well, and the bird has got a fine placement off to the right. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.

A nicely timed shot. I like his spread wings. The exposure is good and the detail in both the black and the white feathers is excellent. The setting is attractive and the cropping is perfect.

Look at that wingspan. Wow. Again, as always, your detail is excellent. Framing is great. POV is unbelievable. Focus is pin sharp. I like this one, too. Well done...again.

Great shot. The colors and detail as well as the composition of the piece are excellent. The dark background really makes the bird stand out. Really like how the birds right wing is framed in white against the background.

The white pelicans of france certainly look a lot different than ours.
Very pristine in colors and nicely held.
He looks to be ready to shove off :)
