Fred,
A comical picture of the White Pelican about to take off wings up & feet spread out the sun shining down upon it & through it's long beak so it appears to glow. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Wow this really accentuated and captures the size and heftiness of these birds - timed beautifully to capture the wingspan with great effect. Great overall clarity and positioning, and the natural lighting works nicely too, great shot.

This Pelican almost looks unreal,and the first thing that sprung to mind was it almost appears to be of a plastic structure and it must be the large bill that causes this perception. Your detail is sharp and the structure of the composition perfect...good shout
