Mhmm, quite a dispariity in size. Probably will not be any friction as junior progresses into puberty! Your nice composition gives a good look at both. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely taken!

I love these guys so much more than the Chimps.

There really is a size difference in the mom and babe. She looks as though she keeps a close eye on her little one. How much bigger is dad?

Nice close up shot of them orangutans. You captured how large the mother is against her baby. The green grass complements them nicely.

Wow, I was going to ask before I saw the narrative if this was the mother of the little snoozy one we've been seeing! the size difference id remarkable, and you've captured the (re)union here with great clarity and focus - the DOF and the grass in front create good perspective in the natural light - lovely shot!!

Fred,
A beautiful picture of the Orangutan baby & his mother keeping an eye on him as he plays beside her. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

This is an excellent photograph, especially for its well-balanced, nicely-framed composition and, of course, its delightful characterization. Very well done and thank you for sharing.

Great looking shot!. Fine example of wild life photography. Your timing appears to be perfect and you have captured the intimate moments between the mother and child very well.
Well done!

nice shot of this mother and baby Orangutan although the detail is good i would like to have seen more of the baby face and the mothers eyes are a bit too dark for my liking . I believe expression in the eyes are the most important characteristic in any portraiture shot or painting although a lot can be expressed through body positioning and movement captured too but for me it's the eyes and its in this presentation that unfortunately is missing, however the structure is good as is the idea..for that a five
