This surely interprets the song. It has that nostalgia feel of the 50's and even the feel of those old poems from the last century.
The colors is giving this feel as much as how the items are arranged. For some reason the pearls draw my eyes especially. They just look like the well placed gift of a lover, carefully arranged before his sweetheart arrives.
I did not know about the movie and the history of the song, Your comments about are greatly appreciated.
I also think that the photo was well taken. It is well focused. The details are sharp and the background non-obstructive so that there are no distractions. Best luck for the contest.

I really like that you used an Italian white wine for this :) Bianco di Custoza.
Great set up of the white wine with soft straw like color, the lovely creak colored roses, tablecloth background and the classy elegant addition of the string of pearls hanging on the fluted glass.
Focus, set up, use of light are all fabulous here.
Great song title to go along with this comp.

A very fine still life to illustrate the song. I have seen the Jack Lemmon movie several times and even insisted my 16-year-old son watch it many years ago to prove to him that great movies did not need to contain profanity. The colors, varying heights of your objects, and overall composition is very good.

Really a nice picture , goes with the song , very good centering and placement of the bottle of wine , glass of wine and the roses and the pearl necklace adds to it , good background pick also , good luck in the contest .
