I like how this flower has two shades of yellow with the sunlight and shadows on the petals. The texture on the edges stand out nicely and the depth makes the background extra attractive.

This is a very soft photo in focus. It is a nice close up shot. Well centered and framed well. The colors are bold and vivid. You captured some nice shadows within the pedals of the flower.

Well, this take certainly meets the main criteria of this contest.

Excellent even contrast through out this capture.

DOF brings out the detail of this bloom very well and sets a nice background bokeh that pushes this bloom into the foreground for an easy on the viewers eye anchor.

I like the soft reflection of sunlight off the edges of the petals - overall a golden appearance.

A wonderfully simple, perfectly placed and positioned shot with great natural lighting, creating lovely patterned shading in the petals. Tightly cropped with good DOF, creating good contrast with the green background making it stand out further. The clarity is sharp and shows the shape of the flower excellently, great shot.
