A gruesome and different tone to your usual style, delivering a metaphoric message with great imagery - the harrowing image of the prisoner shackled by the neck with head down, and the intricate patterns and details painted in great detail in an array of varied colours and textures, with the pail in the background giving an example of the conditions they are subjected to daily. Lovely and moving piece.

Perceived to be a politically motivated piece and really well presented with good use of colour and particularly good composition and structure with the eye drawn to the chain's and the larger hand in the foreground as if to plead the viewer for sympathy..A good six from me moreso for composition
