Great photo of these beautiful flowers. The depth of field is just right to make the flowers sharp and the background out of focus. The colors are beautiful.

These are beautiful, Fred. I really have not seen these candy striped amaryllis. They are dramatic and quite beautiful. Their petal shape is very different as well..with the pointed ends. Your camera techs have given your viewer a lovely composition to study...white balance is excellent...dof is complimentary and your reds are controlled in saturation. Framing is important here since you have an even number of subjects... I'm a rule breaker with photo but others would look for the rule of 3. I think this is an excellent photo...all around! Thanks for sharing!

Great looking flowers. Love their shape. Neat how the red just goes along the edges. Like the green/red contrast. Look kind if like the holidays. Thank you for sharing. Take care.

What a beauty. You really composed this well within the frame and made the most out of the very attractive bloooms and their artistically angled positions. Add in great color and clarity for a wonderful photograph.

Oh you lucky fellow sg! A wise purchase on your part ad look how wonderful they look....apparently very happy in their new home at your place.

Just excellent crisp focus....beautifully detailed. Your whites are spot on....as are your reds....and reds can be as or MORE difficult than whites so you've presented the colors here just wonderfully. Nicely put together image here.

Lovely image sg of a lovely flower. Can only grown these inside at my place. They look so nice outside in your gardens!

sigh....well there's the one 'fellow' lol who is just a bit snarky for no good reason EVER but I see the one you are talking about. My red flowers can give me a helluva time and as you noted in your response white can as well....so a red AND white flower can be a real challenge. Great minds sg...lol It is frustrating when a new member doesn't take the time to understand reviewing/rating from a photographic stance but ALSO doesn't understand flowers. I find a lot of people think photographing flowers is just the easiest type of photograph to do but I think they don't understand that photographing them WELL has it's own challenges. I think you handled BOTH those reviewers very graciously sg....we'll have to hope either one of them actually posts something and shares their 'skills' w/ us sometime along, yes??

A wise and wonderful purchase from the land of colourful flowers! These are spectacular and the quality of the shot does them great justice, with fantastic clarity and DOF, and amazing rich red colours with the white centred petals, formed in this fantastic star like shape - contrasting nicely with the greens in the background, a great shot of these really impressive and gorgeous looking flowers.

What an eye-catcher! These are so crisp and colorful, candy for the eyes. Sharp, perfect DOF, well composed photograph. As usual, well done. I hope you enjoy many years with this beauty.

There must be a zillion of them. It is as if new hybrids are popping up everywhere around the world; and all of them are beautiful.
This hybrid looks a if someone used red paint on them. The texture indeed remains of brush strokes. The red rendered amaryllis looks good on the blown green background. If it would be mine, I would crop a little on the right, so that the top of the petal is the close to the frame as those on the left.
