Very imaginative choice of subject, but immensely eye catching with quite a dramatic initial impact. Both the fire and the reflection draw the viewer into the scene. The burned out silhouettes, especially the still standing palm tree, emphasize the terrible impact. Well done and original.

The golden glow in the darkness is fascinating, but he painting could be predict good or evil. It could be the glow of a brush fire or of the sinking sun because the glow is behind the hill. There could be some burned things, but the palm tree seems unharmed. I think without the title I would believe it is a sunset rather than a bush fire.
The painting makes the viewer thinking about.
It is interesting how all those golden shades reflect on land and water and even the frame.
I like you painting, but I am not sure how to understand your comments. Did indeed a burned painting inspired you or did a bush fire?

thank you, cleo. Actually, it was just the frame that inspired the little story. To me, it looked like the poor thing had been caught in a fire itself. LOL

Hm, I have never heard before that a frame inspired a picture, but it worked very well for your creation. :o)

Ironic? Certainly. I like the lone palm tree sitting on the horizon. The tones of the fire are very realistic, and beautiful in a scary way. You caught the reflection well in the water.
