What a lovely specimen! I don't think I've ever seen a white poppy. The detail is perfect, the petals are almost translucent, and the dark background acts as a foil for the flower.

A wonderful close up shot of this beautiful white poppy, taken with great clarity and DOF against the low lit background which helps the flower stand out well. Great detail on the petal's patterns and the stigma/stamen in the colour shows rich and lovely colours with beautiful detail as well. The petals fully outstretched is a rare sight as they are usually folded upright to a degree, or the petals are so light the wind blows them around with the slightest breeze so they are hard to capture this well! Great shot and best of luck.

I want one. My poppies are all orange. This is stunningly beautiful. The open petals showing off the central stamens is a sharply focused look at this stunning gorgeous bloom. Great shot.
