This looks and feels like paradise Cleo, this really does looks like an oil painting in how it has been done!
I just love the theme and subject with that rowing boat in the foreground as if it is inviting you to get on and row out to the sunset, gorgrous looking colours and that palm tree is the icing on the cake for me, wonderful scene!

I would never have wanted to move Cleo!

That was more than 10 years ago. Then fires and hurricanes hit the village. After that things changed dramatically. I did not move voluntarily. The area is full in the hand of the Cancun cartell now. The latifundista and most residence from old times have moved away.

I'm sure you're MUCH safer where you are now Cleo. Hey....some of those LUPINES are growing (from the seeds you sent me) Been rather wet here though so they're a little behind my other LUPINES.

The Blue Bonnets, I am happy that the are growing. they will be shorter than your other Lupines. None of mine is left here. The drought is bad here and got them early. We cannot water enough.

Great us of color. Good line of horizon to direct the eye toward the center point of light. Well spaced subjects that keep the eye moving about the canvas. This is what digital art should be. Well done. Great use of lights and darks. Shadows do a great job of setting the mood.

Everything is just perfect I have no suggestions I only want to tell you that I love this masterpiece.I adore the colors you used you used them all in the right places. The sky is well shaded and the water is well mixed. How could you ever get the water so perfect? The palm tree has a great combination of black and green. Well done

Having been in the Caribbean many times, you have made me dream of returning to St Thomas. The setting sun and the soft golden lights on the beach along with the boat resting on the shore is stunning. I can only imagine what the occupants are up to while enjoying the evening. Good perspective and scale.

I don't know much about digital painting - I really should research it so I can review this in a more informed manner. I can tell you that I really like the textures you have applied to the background and the colors are lovely. I'm impressed with how realistic the scene looks. I think your notes in the description are also lovely.
