Look at this , he appears to be fat and happy and he isn't a flower .
Your focus and clarity are on the top rung showing the intricate details of the fat little fellow . Judging by the buds on the tree , I'm guessing spring, probably mid July cause we all know how long your winter's are .
May I put in a request ? Raptors or some type of a killing machine .
BTW excellent notes !
Thank you and keep on shooting .

One of my very few 'animal' images John...and yes, he is not a flower...lol Think you may be right about the timing.....well almost. Bet this was in June....God I HOPE it was June and not July. But raptors doll??? lol Best I could do is a Moose or something smaller.....no raptors. You are just a sweetie for going back and looking at this guy. I've been watching them (so has Comanche) at the feeder in the LR window all winter. Tough little birds!!

Not to worry. No pressure at all. Remember, you are under no obligation...just enjoy when you find one you particularly like.

Me worry , I've got an idea what I want to review .

What a cutie, Deb. I love the composition and how it is framed so nicely by the branches. Cropped just right. Superb clarity, color and detail. A perfect shot and a joy to view and review. There can never be enough birds in art for me :).

While there are tons of birds always around my place they're not something I typically point my camera at Ed. This little guy though just seemed to be insisting I photograph him.....so I do appreciate you checking him out and giving him such a lovely review. Thank you so much.

What a nice composition. Very nicely balanced. The background of the small branches is a nice contrast to the relatively simple shape of the bird. Just enough highlights in the background. Beautiful work!

Not a flower, but a truly lovely photo of a Chickadee. I am still not really ready for reviewing after my holiday in Greece, but I just had to tell you that everything is working for you in this photo. Well composed, sharp and with an excellent exposure. Well done Deborah !

Well I am so flattered that you stopped to look at this little guy then av and liked the image well enough to share a gold star w/. Honestly, thank you so much. As you know I don't 'do' birds...lol...but this little Chickadee really seemed to want his photo taken so I obliged. How was your holiday in Greece?? Lots of great photos to share I hope. Thank you again av.

You are more than welcome Deborah. You did really well since you are not often doing birds. Had a wonderful time in Greece, as always.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

From Blooms to Birds! Look at you Branching out! ;)
My Review is based on the clearer version when you tap the photo. I feel Far upload was not kind in sharpness as I know this is.
Not easy shooting birds and getting right angle and settings to Capture their light in their eyes.
Fun right? People think point..click..or tap an iPad.
Nope. Requires manual settings all the way..high shutter low F/stop. You did well on white balance, catch light in the eye and focus. I am tempted to remove the one branch in front. But I understand birds live and perch in trees. Not our made up studios with cloth backdrop.
Fine bird Photography here Doc.
Well done!

Well I am definitely flattered by your review Sange! ....and grinned at your 'branching out' lol but this little guy was incredibly patient and I'm sure he went and told all his friends "hey, the dame w/ the camera...she's VERY slow"....lol so not sure I'll be doing THIS very often.

Went and had a look b/c I wasn't sure which branch you were referring to ....I see what you mean. Actually couldn't believe I could find such an unobstructed place to photograph from w/ all those branches so didn't give it a second thought. Thank you sooo much for the Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!....the awesome review AND the gold star. Made my afternoon!!

This gets a 6 just because of the wonderful image.. #1 and the "not a flower" comment! Made me really LOL!

The framing is awesome, the background is faded perfectly and the colors in the Back ground are also perfect!

Wonderful softness in this image..

Bravo!

LOL...why thank you neighbor! I just thought the title was a natural then hoped afterwards it wouldn't come across as too snarky....so very pleased that you liked it Steve. This little guy was endlessly patient w/ me taking his photo so I really appreciate you checking him out and thank you BIG TIME for the gold star you shared. You're a doll!

just brilliantly captured Debs, The structure is wonderful as the surrounding twigs frame this little beauty so well and he is perched ,almost purposefully for you , in the foreground with no obstructions or distractions. The focusing is good and his colours enhanced through your good use of diffused backdrop in relation to the foliage...I love your flowers and now i of your birds ...more please Debs...you may find me storing flowers and birds in the TO DO FOLDER :) well done

LOL...as long as some of Debs are in your TO DO folder Neil! .....and purposefully he did sit....I swear he glanced at me several times while I adjusted my camera settings as if to say "aw come on Lady....let's not take ALL day getting this done here" ahahaha..yes...he was incredibly patient w/ me. That is just a really nice review Neil and I so appreciate it.....of course, the gold star too. Seriously...thank you for both.

Definitely remarkable little guys Paul. I have much respect for them after reading about how intelligent they are.....but have to admit I prefer photographing things (flowers...lol) where I'm not concerned about catching the sparkle in the eye. You are a dear for having a look at this little guy and thank you so very much for thinking him worth one of your gold stars. I do really appreciate that Paul.

It's head is SOOOOO big Susan that I think it makes it's beak look unnaturally small. Do appreciate you checking him out and thank you for the lovely review you've given him.

    Deborah,
We have a little bird over here that is almst the same as a Chickadee both in size & plumage it's called a Coal Tit from the side view you could mix up the two.

I've heard of birds called 'Tits' Susan but I don't know much about them so thank you for the info.
