Beautiful capture of the sunny Yellow Sunflower. I really like the close crop showing off the center.

This is a lovely tribute to the first day of summer - perfect flower for it and your exposure is wonderful. The colors are bright and natural. I like how well the details of the center stand out and how well the tiny hairs on the stems and under side of the leaves can be seen.

I wish you a wonderful summer as well Cleo. To pick a Sunflower for your good wishes is perfect, because when you see this big yellow flower you know it is summer. I think you have pictured it so well, and it is standing out so well from the background.
Your focus is sharp showing such clear and well defined details both in the petals and the center of the flowers. It is nothing wrong with the exposure either.
I also think the square format you have cropped the photo into works well, and the flower is well placed within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.
