I always appreciate seeing the way the commoners live. This narrow canal with its run down houses is beautifully lit and shown in fine detail. I like the greenery hanging over the wall and the nice looking little bridge.

This is one of my personal favourites from your Venice album - it sums up the old school and less travelled/seen aspects and canals of this great city. Captured in great lighting, and with excellent clarity and DOF, showing the rustic designs and colours of the buildings either side beautifully and the bridge at the far end of the shot creates great perspective and confirms the title nicely!! really lovely shot my friend :)

The water towns version of a ghetto huh? The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of the narrow canal and buildings is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

An interesting picture of the narrow canal with the houses of the poorer people on either side showing signs of damp on the walls the pale sky reflected on the water below. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Such an interesting place and a shame the houses are looking a bit dilapidated. Like the angle you have used inviting us to travel towards and beyond the bridge. Good color and exposure. :) Mary

A nice scenic cityscape posted here. Its well composed, sharp and has fine exposure. My enjoyment of your shot though is spoiled by the too many slanting vertical lines. Otherwise, nice try!

A nice view fred,venice is one of those places that there is a photograph to be had on every corner,love those canals and getting of the main canal,as much as its good,these old buildings do look neglected in this one,nice one fred..brian
