Bright purple and white are my school colors. The tight crop and good lighting pop this bloom. Either you stood on your head or it was very cooperative for the pose. Very nice shot.

LOL.....sat on the ground Gary! ....and this guy was very cooperative. I was able to get quite a few really nice images but liked this one the best b/c I could show both the front AND the back of this intricate little blossom. Do appreciate you checking it out and thanks so much for the lovely review you've given it.

This is gorgeous! Everything is so clear and crisp - the color, detail of the stamen, petals. Composition is perfect too - you let us see everything about the flower all at once. DOF is just right. Love it!

Took a lot of shots ID trying to make sure I got the entire blossom in the image. The front of this flower is as special as the back of it so I do appreciate you noticing that. Thank you so much for the really lovely review and especially for sharing one of your gold stars w/ it. I do appreciate THAT as well.

This appears to be shot with a fairly long lens judging by the narrow view of the background. The depth of field is great and the colors are fantastic.

This flower is a new one on me, but then I am no expert! Your fine full and central composition gives us a great look at your beautiful bloom. Exposure and sharpness are both good. Nicely taken!

Well, this one looks like something from the ocean, maybe a jellyfish LOL. Nice purple color; good job on the angle and lighting; the yellow center makes it pop; the green leaves provide a good contrast which make the whole flower show brighter. Lovely! You must have a huge garden. Take care.

LOL...it's those crazy long 'spurs' growing along it's back side swimmer. Such an odd little flower, isn't it! Yes....my gardens take up a lot of real estate....something blooming ALL the time. You're a doll for giving this guy a gold star. Thank you so much swimmer. You are a true blue follower!

Another beauty BB. The textures stand out so well it takes on a 3-D look. The natural (non-flashlight) lighting accentuates the flower so nicely. Placement in the frame is perfect and the DOF is just right to make the flower come to the forefront. Beautiful capture BB. Definitely worthy of an extra sparkle ~ BB

I tried doing some of my 'flashlight photography' a few nights ago Steve and the Coyotes were sooo close and soooo loud I never made it down as far as this bed....lol.....wimp. You are just a sweetie for sharing a bit of extra sparkle w/ this one BB. Thank you so much for that....and for the wonderful review too. I so appreciate it.

I won't take a chance on digesting this; I'll leave that to the birds and the bees! This picture is really Beautiful...the flower looks very exotic, however, from the sounds is quite common and plentiful. Nice close up so that the distinctive back of the flower is really visible.

Actually Shirleen it's a flower many gardeners are not that familiar with. A shame too as it's really a sturdy and interesting little blossom. Do appreciate you checking it out. Thank you for the very fine review.
