Wow, this is fascinating. I like how it does resemble a bouquet and the lower portion could almost be a self portrait of the artist crab :) Such an amazing process that these creatures use to scour for food.

    thanks so much grace;
    no food in the sand: just building a home for the night.

I really can't say it beautiful or even pretty but very unique, in fact very neat! I really like the unusual nature is an artist of whom no man can equal. I like this so interesting

Sand bubbler crabs live in burrows in the sand, where they remain during high tide. When the tide is out, they emerge on to the surface of the sand, and scour the sand for food, forming it into inflated pellets, which cover the sand.
But the herons and Egrets know this and they follow the balls of sand to eat crabs!
Great find and Capture Fred!
I see your abstract Bouquet of flowers in the sand Pellets.
Nice work!

What a interesting and mysterious imprint in the sand. It does look like a impression of a floral still life. Everything sharp revealing all the crabs imprinted trails leading back to its hole. Crab is a painter and doesn't know it, or maybe Crab does. Thank You for sharing.

    thanks a lot bunkie;
    it is rather a sculpture, not a painting, with all these sand balls

Well all be... Those crabs are artist in their own right. I see an abstract or illusion of a large bird of prey coming in for a landing with wings up high and talons outreached to encounter the landing. Nature is so fascinating.

Quite a nice find presented here! Yes, it rather does look like an abstract flower work. I am no expert on crabs, but why would a crab be doing this? Your image is well composed, has good exposure and his sharp. Well done and good luck!

It does look like an art piece and it is a work of art done by this crab. Great capture and focus. Good lighting. Thanks for sharing this incredible image of the day in the life of a crab.
