You have superbly produced a beautifully charming work of art that supremely illustrates a most meaningful message that our children are not born with discriminating/prejudicial attitudes toward people- that those unfortunate attitudes are learned, are taught. We as adults have to be diligent and positive role models for the children that look up to us.

First of all your title grabbed my attention. It is so true....children do not care about the color of skin, they are more interested in the character of the person and I feel we should be the same way. Color just gets in the way of things....still does...always has and unfortunately always will.
This drawing of yours is so beautiful....it is so real....it is so many peoples answers to I HAVE A DREAM THAT ONE DAY.....as the man Dr Martin Luther King said in his speech....anyway, I just keep digressing....which means this drawing is definitely a conversation piece....I love the color palette you used, I love the tight cropping. I love everything about this artwork of yours and I feel it will win first place. I will keep a watch out (smile). Thanks so much for sharing. This has all the bells and whistles making it a stunning piece of artistic work. Wishing you the best come deadline day.

I am sure color has to be learned. All color, but especial those of the skin. Children see first what they have common with each other, not what is different. I wished adults would do that as well, but it seems they only see the differences. We might look at our young children, she seem much smarter than we are until we infect the resentments.

What a powerful picture! The children are beautifully and gracefully drawn, and the dark red and gold clothing complement one another. I love the details in their hands and feet. I believe you are correct about colorblindness with youngsters. When our son was about three, we had a new babysitter who liked exactly like Aunt Jemima on the pancake package (she was a very large black woman with a bright smile). After I paid her and took her home, I asked Sam how he liked her. He described all the things they did and never mentioned her skin color.

I like this a lot but wish the background tint was lighter just seems to give it a darker feel. Great work on the clothing and overall feeling of love and exploration. Great detail..good job and keep on drawing!

This is a beautiful drawing. Very well done. Your foreshortening of the legs(always a problem for me) is great! I like the colors and the patterns made by the draping in the fabric. The one problem I have is the darkness. I wonder if a brighter background would have helped. Aside from that it's great work!

One quick look and I was locked into this one. I can almost feel the skin on the face of the baby on the left as the girl on the right is doing. Love the drawing and the rich colors you used.
