Surprise, Amazing Grace! I have never seen your art before. I would rate it as 7 and already saved it as my favorite! You're a talented artist! You worked with oils, too and used my favorite 16Ã?20 canvas size!!! The composition is perfect! The colors are gorgeous! The black background works well! You were able to show different textures of the flower and the pod! I can feel the back side of it! Dapth of field is great! The Red is truly remarkable! Please start painting again! (())

I might be overly critical with myself as I am rarely happy with my paintings. It would probably help if I had a better idea of what I was doing, lol! Even then I'd still be too much of a perfectionist. I do daydream sometimes about going to art school or lessons. Maybe I will try to take more time for painting in 2019.

The color red you chose to use here are beautiful. It reminds me of a beautiful apple/cherry red.
I don't feel your Photograph does your Painting justice as I am sure it is better in person.
I love the round pot, red flowers and the few white ones sticking out over the rim.

Thank you very much Deborah, I truly appreciate your encouraging remarks. I don't consider myself very good at painting, but I like to try do it. I think art classes might be helpful - some of my work ranks right up there with 3rd graders -seriously not joking lol! This one was difficult to photograph, the red tones in the black didn't show up in the picture. Thank you for giving it your vote!

as a spectator would at an art show,art fair etc. I have only one question in mind
when I view a work and that is would it have a place on one of the walls in my
home.This is an excellent piece of traditional art and I would be happy to place it on one of my walls.
