Really nice! The contrast of the small white flowers helps to balance it all out, along with the wonderful shading technique, you have obviously mastered. The high lights on the leaves and flower petals is very good. I love the base...the way in which it is high lighted and shaded. Great picture

This take certainly meets the contest criteria very well.
You have produced a piece of art that has a lot of detail, contrast and color variations - A looker.
Your decision to use an all black background really sets off the red and green colors very well.
But what caught my eye first of all was the white flowers just peeking out on the side. They add that spark that keeps a painting from being just "Ho Hum" to "Wow, look at that!".
This is very creative, original and a definite contender for this contest ... B-)) Bob
