as usual, an obvious winner;
it looks similar to a barn I've seen near Tromso, but without snow;
a very nice capture on a dark cloudy winter day;

That's an impressively pretty scene indeed,my friend!
The 'Red against White and Gray' coloration looks great in my opinion as well!
'Good Show'!

Nice picture. Really nice red barn. I like the time of day you took it. It looks really beautiful. Is that a mountain in the back? Where was this picture taken from?

a cloudy day is a good day yo shoot a red barn, I like the snow being white and the good exposure on the barn. I am not sure about the pigeons being in the picture, other than that well done good picture and good luck with the contest

Such a beautiful winter scene and the red barn accentuated beautifully in the snow. So much to like about this photography. The way the barn and it's architecture stands out in the landscape, the cloudy winter sky, the way the tree on the left frames your photo, and the touch of the three birds flying in the sky. A good composition and depth of field. A good contender for the Red Contest. Good luck! The details and tonal range of this photography are excellent. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing!

To me there is nothing more classical than a red barn. No other barn color can compare....and to be honest I dodo not have the foggiest idea as to why it has to be red....
What you mentioned in your artist's notes about sums it up for me as well. The red stands out because of the white snow and the darkened sky...they combine making this red barn stick out like a sore thumb which is exactly what you want in order to get that GRAND SUPERB shot that so many of us would love to get. Your sore thumb became the center of attraction and more so it is just perfect for this contest. RED BARNS especially THIS one is what it is all about. OUTSTANDING shot taken by you at the precise perfect time....GOOD FOR YOU and good luck to you at the voting booth. Thanks for sharing.

A beautiful picture of this read barn bring a warm glow of colour to this snowy winter scene under an over cast sky with grey clouds racing across the sky while the birds add an interesting point of view. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Quite a nice winter scene posted here! Your image is well composed and sharp. I do feel though that it is somewhat under-exposed. Otherwise nice try.

I like the coloring. The red surely is dominant. Only a slight touch of color shades makes the viewer aware that this is monochrome with selective color. The enhancements are skilfully done. The topaz effect emphasizes details without being excessive.

    Thank you so very much for the lovely review Cleo. It is actually not selective coloring, but I agree it might look like it.

    Oh, there is a word missing in my review. It should read ...that this is not monochrome...because I did realized the color shades in the tree and the building at the right. I will correct my review right away.

    LOL - It is OK Cleo. Just a small misunderstanding.
