really telling photo- not just the turtle, which we see on travel channel time and again and beloved by all, but the rubbish and sticks strewn up by the tide. That is so clever and thoughtful, the way you have focused and juxtapositioned this particular picture, hopefully to make people be aware and maybe even think or would that be too much to ask for?

and he sings in yiddish too right? wink. cute capture and title. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the turtle with his mouth open is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Too bad I don't have 6 stars anymore :) great photography. Splashes of light on the water give us imaginations of the sunny day, and invite to share the pleasure with this creature. Thanks for sharing.

I think the running water added a lot to the shot. Thanks for the great review. I'll hold that 6 on my tab for the future. See you are kind of new to the site, so welcome aboard. Will have to look at your portfolio in more detail.

Nice find and capture Chuck!
You did well.on Exposure, focus and POV. I hope it was not stuck, but rather enjoying the sun and water at the same time.
Nice work Chuck ;)

I really like the cute pose and the rich colors you captured. The motion in the water shows up nicely and even the textures below the water jump out for attention. Very nice!

Thanks. Yeah I liked the idea of the flowing water underneath our sea creature too. Have a nice swim ;-)

I am sure the turtle is sunning itself, because the light is falling on it in a lovely way. A perfect way of sunbathing in my opinion, because you have the water to cool you down at the same time.
Your photo is also nice and sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the animal. I also think the exposure is very good.
I would however have cropped the photo more at the bottom since the turtle is centered between bottom and top. I believe the composition would be even better balanced then. Still this is an all together lovely and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.

Nice capture of the turtle trying to warm himself
the turtle is a bit overexpose, while the background is very dark, but I do not think I should reduce the rate because of it
thanks for sharing

Excellent picture of your Turtle on spillway. Excellent detail revealing his dry shell suning him self for a while. Not stuck as so much scared of heights. Enjoy his large head as he surveys his obstacle. Thank You for sharing.

A great capture of this Snapper and a fine entry for the contest. The turtle is placed perfectly in the frame with the focus and details sharp and clear. Colors are well rendered even though they are as is. Best of the best in the contest Chuck ~ Steve
